In Person: The Path of Devotion: Immerse in Bhakti Practices with Krishna Das and Friends

To attend this retreat all guests, teachers, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. A medical exemption with documentation from a doctor requires a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival as well as a personal quarantine for 72 hours before arriving on site.

Join Krishna Das for a weekend retreat of yoga, chanting and devotional heart-opening practices. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with a group of dedicated seekers and immerse yourself in practices, teachings and discussions.

Also included in the retreat program, is group chanting of Hanuman Chalisas with Nina Rao. This an opportunity for beginners and experienced chanters to join in the chanting this 40-verse prayer in praise of Hanuman, together as a group. The prayer is from the Indian tradition with Hanuman invoked as the very breath of the Divine – our own Divine nature. Many believe that chanting this prayer gives us the strength to get through difficult times with compassion and grace. Word sheets will be provided. No experience necessary.

There will be some extended chanting sessions included in the daytime programs over the weekend. In order to help you transition into “retreat mode” there will be a Gentle Yoga Class to help you “land” on Friday Afternoon – 4:15 – 5:30pm – This class will include some gentle stretching and restorative postures, breathing, and meditation.

Saturday and Sunday morning yoga classes will be 8 – 9:30AM. These will be more active asana classes appropriate and safe for all levels – these classes will be dynamic and up lifting. They will cultivate focus, strength and mobility, and prepare us to sit for chanting and Q and A with KD and Nina. Bring yoga props with you if you can.

The yoga classes for this retreat will be taught by Jill Ganassi and Betsy Kase.

All yoga classes will be held in the downstairs auditorium.
