Mirabai will share insights from her life, which has spanned 7 decades, from a NYC childhood in Catholic schools, to work on the Saturn Apollo, to a journey to the East where she discovered yoga, meditation, and many great teachers, to a life dedicated to learning through being in the world (karma yoga). A mother, wife, grandmother, business entrepreneur, writer, co-founder of Seva Foundation and the Center for Contemplative Mind in society, Mirabai will talk about how she saw each chapter of her life as a way of following her guru's direction: Love everyone and serve everyone. She wrote 'Walking Each Other Home' with Ram Dass, published just a year before he died, leaving us a guide for how to live life fully to be prepared for death.
There will be a presentation, discussion with Q&A, short guided practices, and a little chanting interlude with Nina Rao.
